much more than a budget hotel

Pros: Behind the solid wooden doors is a grand courtyard and the palazzo Filangieri, dating to 1760 and retaining original features this is the most impressive hotel I've stayed at in years, the riim was huge, breakfast was fine, and the Balarro market is just behind, it's also surprisingly quiet at night, for Palermo.

An oasis of calm in a bustling city

Pros: Amazing building. Next to the market and other interesting sites. Close to the station. Great breakfast. Helpful staff. Had a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend.

Cons: It's difficult to find as sign very small and kind of hidden away, but once inside, very grand listed building. As it is in the city could be a bit noisy late evenings.

Pros: The location and history of the building was fantastic.

Cons: The water was Luke warm , the hairdryer didn’t work and the breakfast was very basic.

Pros: Nice location, very close the central station. nice old house with a lot of italian charm.

Cons: The neighborhood is quite dark at night and typical for a neighborhood close to the central station, not the best. But for me not a problem, still liked it very much.

Charming place to stay in

Pros: The building is fascinating, it is also very close to the famous Ballaro Market( 3 minutes) and to Palermo central train station(5 minutes)

Cons: Location did not feel safe at night for a female solo traveller. Breakfast could be served earlier 7 am for example

Comfortable room in an interesting old building

Pros: Preserved features of the old building. Friendly welcome and helpful staff. Convenient for the station but access is complicated, although clear instructions were provided on WhatsApp. There are a lot of steep stairs and no lift.

Pros: Great location only a few minutes walk from the train station. The hotel is in an old mansion that we felt had a lovely charm. Great room, great breakfast, in the historic area and close to Ballaro markets which are so much fun and vibrant
