Rocco Forte Villa Igiea

Fantastic hotel with brilliant staff

Pros: Gorgeous room, fantastic staff, delicious breakfast buffet. Good gym and what looked like a lovely pool, but it was closed because it was only February.

I want to move in and live here forever.

Pros: The most beautiful property, but beauty supported by exceptional staff and service. Every detail had been thought out, and before you even think of something the staff have read your mind and have it ready for you. The drivers were excellent, the breakfast is sensational, the cocktails and bar the best in the world and a fabulous way to see Palermo.

Cons: We had some rain. But given that is beyond the control of the hotel, who provided umbrellas at every possible place you need them Also the oranges need it, so i guess not a fault at all.

Amazing place- Villa straight out from a fairytale

Pros: Amazing Villa, helpful staff, beautiful location, great breakfast. We will come back!

Beautiful stay

Pros: The hotel is absolutely beautiful. It’s a stunningly restored Liberty style villa and you can tell a lot of care has gone into it. The breakfast was excellent. The staff was super warm and helpful. The whole place feels like an oasis from Palermo.

Cons: The location of the hotel makes getting to and from Palermo (which has a lot to recommend it) challenging. My suggestion would be to run the shuttle mode frequently and earlier and later than it is currently. Other note is that there didn’t seem to be any poolside drinks service.

Pros: Wonderful Premises in historic Park - very attentative staff

Cons: Small Pool with limited opening hours (starting only at 9 a.m.)

Just perfect

Pros: Hotel just exceptional, staff couldn’t do no more always a smiling face, breakfast Great , we ate lunch and dinner once really lovely.

Cons: That I was close to the sea and and there was no entrance , definitely should make available for the hotel

High quality hotel but still overpriced for what’s offered

Pros: The hotel is refurbished to a very high standard and the staff are very attentive.

Cons: We went on our honeymoon to Villa Igiea but were quite surprised that the hotel didn’t try to recognise the special occasion for us at all.

Absolutely superbhotel in wrong spot and with misleading booking information and overall too pricey

Pros: Don‘t get my evaluation wrong this is a suoerb luxury hotel with excellent service and rooms. But, … the misleading information about kids club and activities (not available in this Rocco Forte) much annoyed us, and we did not get any explanation or discount or upgrade, or even an apology. The beloved and frequent Trump gesture (thumbs up) of all restaurant staff was totally inappropriate. And the closeby shipyard is quite noisy 24/7, which they try to hide by omnipresent music, nothing that can be done about it but not optimal. Although optional, including 5% sercice charge on the full price, including restaurant bills that already included tips, is not common. At price levels like these, everything should be perfect.
