In the prestigious seaside village of Scopello, which overlooks the Faraglioni rock-stacks and the ancient Tonnara 300, metres below, this elegant hotel is also close to the enchanting Nature reserve of Lo Zingaro. The hotel is well situated for visiting the most important cultural sites in the area: Segesta; Erice; Egadi Islands; Trapani; Palermo (Monreale); and Selinunte are all within an hour’s drive. The hotel also offers the possibility of excursions and boat trips, and the chance to dive on the wonderful natural coast line near Scopello. The hotel opened in 1969 but was originally founded in the early 1700’s, on the site of an earlier Arab castle. Carefully restored, this family-run hotel maintains the traditions of hospitality and fine regional cooking.

A truly impeccable stay

Pros: Our stay at La Tavernetta in Scopello was exceptional. The entire property is impeccably maintained, with spotless rooms and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are incredibly kind and always ready to help with anything you need. The food is truly outstanding — every meal was a delight. I highly recommend this hotel for a perfect and relaxing getaway.

Great stay !

Pros: The view is amazing, the bed is confortable, the breakfast is great and the hotel restaurant is very good, Overall, we had a very nice and relaxing time at la Tavernetta !

Excellent amenities and great position

Pros: Breakfast was very good. A good selection of savory, pastries, beverages and fruit. Room was spotless and all amenities were good. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Pros: This accommodation was perfect for our stay in Scopello. A beautiful property with amazing views and pool area. Cafes and restaurants right oitside the door. The breakfast was great, and the staff were really helpful. Would definitely stay at this accommodation again.

Lovel calm stay in a quiet beautiful village

Pros: This was probably the nicest property in the vicinity, the room was spacious and clean, and very well equipped (I’m talking about robes, slippers, cosmetics etc) a beautiful garden with a pool and a lovely view. Breakfast was superb.

Cons: On occasion the drains were quite smelly. I don’t think they can help it, I think it’s just the way the canals are done in the entire village and I thought it’s worth mentioning.

Excellent stay at this hotel which is in a wonderful location.

Pros: View, restaurant and bar areas, pool. The staff were very pleasant and the room service was particularly good.

Cons: Check in process was a bit tricky. We hadn’t been warned about a car free zone near the hotel which we entered by mistake (and hopefully will not be fined for!) and it would have been helpful if the hotel had given us more help with finding their car park.
