Fabulous treat away

Pros: Incredibile location and rooms so beautiful Food and service are exceptional

Absolutely stunning, totally unexpected

Pros: The place is absolutely stunning. Anyone who loves history and great decoration will be overwhelmed. The taste which wass applied in terms of furniture, decoration and lightenings is just top notch. It's not so easy to get there, but once you reach destination you realize it was worth the travel. Also, the food served for dinner is absolutely delicious, and they have a good choice of wines including some organic.

Pros: The staff were very friendly, and I had a unique experience given the location of the monastery. It is a very quiet and peaceful place, and even though it is summer, the location remains quite cool.

Grand vintage country side bliss

Pros: The hotel boasts extraordinary vintage architecture set against the stunning backdrop of the Sicilian countryside. The food is exceptional, with many ingredients sourced directly from the garden. The host's family so warm and welcoming while respecting guests' personal space, making the stay perfect.

Amazing Abbey, very beautiful and special

Pros: Amazing Abbazia with fascinating history; very special. We had great aperitivo before dinner and very interesting tour around the Abbey thenext morning after breakfast. I was visiting for the second time and I was as impressed as the first time. Grazie mille

Pros: The Abbey is a beautiful old building, the staff were fantastic, lovely evening meals, would love to stay again. One of the best, if not the best, places I've stayed at.

Cons: Limited choice at breakfast, but maybe as we were the only guests staying.

Pros: The place is one of a kind, truly authentic experience. Recommended for history lovers.

Absolultely fantastic - I hope I have an opportunity to return when I'm next visiting Siclia

Pros: A truly special place, like nothing you've ever stayed in or will ever stay at. Beautiful, peaceful, tranquil and spiritual. The hosts (owners) made you feel very welcome and often had time for a conversation.

Cons: My only moan is that due to how the place was operated, the availability of refreshements throughout the day were extremely limited. Lunch and an evening meal were however available to guests, as a set menu.

Pros: I really can't put into words how magnificent my stay here was - its just incredible and unique Nothing can be measured against it.

Serenity, peace and tranquility

Pros: The abbey was enormous, peaceful and serene. It was set up high with beautiful views over surrounding countryside. We had a guided tour of the buildings which was fascinating. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The swimming pool was lovely and set in a private grassy area. The food was excellent and served at a long table which was very sociable.

Cons: Access to the hotel was not for the faint-hearted as the Italian roads are not well maintained
