Nice apartment not far from the center

Pros: The apartment was very clean and had a small balcony. The location of the apartment is good, not far from the city center. It was very quiet at night.

Cons: The only thing I didn't like was the excessive use of artificial fragrances. I am very sensitive to chemicals and find them difficult to tolerate.

Great host, clean room

Pros: Signora Lucia has been a lovely host. I had an early morning flight, but was able to leave the luggage in the accommodation as soon as I arrived in Palermo and she made sure the room was ready a few hours before check-in time, and even welcomed us with coffee. Spacious and clean rooms, shared kitchen with complimentary water, tea and coffee. There is a big supermarket nearby, and the town centre is about 10-15 minutes by foot. If you're coming from the airport, the shuttle bus stop is a 5 minute walk from the accommodation.

Perfect location and thoroughly recommended

Pros: We were met at the property by Lucia was very friendly and helpful. The location itself is fantastic and in a quiet street, slightly away from the bustling centre of Politeama - Libertà, so it's peaceful but about 20-25 mins walk to the historic centre of the city where you'll find Quattro Canti, the markets, Teatro Massimo , the cathedral, and so on. There are also some amazing restaurants nearby (try I Sapori del Mare and Lo Scrigno di Donna Rosa) if you want to eat locally after a busy day. Our bed was comfortable, the blackout blinds did a great job, the bathroom was excellent, and it was just perfect for the two of us who spent most of our time in the city anyway. We had an amazing time. Palermo is such a stunning, vibrant city and we can't wait to come back! Carpe Diem was a great place to stay - we recommend 100%

Cons: Driving and parking in Palermo is notoriously chaotic. You're very unlikely to be able to park nearby, so if you are driving, please do research your options thoroughly. Luckily, we found free public parking at Parcheggio Fermi (Via Enrico Fermi, 72, 90145 Palermo PA) which was about 20 mins walk.

Nice stay, Lucia is wonderful!

Pros: The host, Lucia, is fantastic; she's very kind and caring and will ensure you have a nice stay in Palermo. The location is good—the area is very quiet, but in a few minutes you can get to the center, as well as the bus and train stations.

Cons: The rooms lack soundproofing. However, not very annoying.

Pros: It was very clean, location is great(8 min walk from train station Lolli, close to the bus station to Mondello, and like 15 minutes walk to city center). Personel was really helpful!

The perfect stay in Palermo

Pros: Carpe Diem is located a little outside of historic Center of Palermo just 15 min by foot or 5 min with electric scooter or bike.It was ideal because the nights were calm and away from the noise of the Center.It was very easy to find parking spots on the road for free or for little fee.Lucia our host was very accommodating and kind and we felt like home.There is a shared kitchen with prepackaged snacks coffee and bottles of water that the guests can enjoy!The room was cleaned every day and everything was spotless!

Pros: Fantastic property with great shared kitchen. Great location. Lucia was an amazing host - we had a slight hiccup with the check in and she fixed it up immediately and made sure we were happy and comfortable. Thank you Lucia!

Pros: Carpe Diem was a wonderful stay. The room was always clean, and tidy with a great amount of space. Lucia was incredibly helpful and such a delight; she was always attentive to us if we needed help and would respond promptly. She provided us with complementary water and snacks and made our experience even better! Location is good, 20 min walk to the Main Street.

Pros: Lucia was amazing and welcoming, and super supportive. The room was clean and the bed comfy.

Cons: Great value for money - remember earplugs if sensitive to noise!
