Pros: Nice apartment on the 1st floor, about 10 stairs up. Comfortable bed, good kitchenette with all equipment except a microwave (which we didn't need). About 25 minutes to walk from the train station, about 20 minutes from the Via Roma Airport bus stop so convenient to get to. Easy to walk to everything in the historic centre. Host Vincenzo speaks good English and is very helpful.
Cons: As other reviews have said, there is some street noise even though the apartment has good quality sealed windows. I think street noise would be typical for most of Palermo. We used earplugs provided by the host and everything was fine for sleeping.

Great little apartment in Centre of Palermo
Pros: It was compact but had everything you could need. The owners set up apartment with care and thought. The location was quite central to everything.
Cons: The nearest bar was a 5 min walk away but really, it wasn't an issue. I wish there had been an extra pillow, but again,I was ok. Perhaps putting some anti-slip adhesive or rubber mat in shower? Kind of slippery.

Comfy stay and host gave lots of suggestion on where to eat … and not on the main tourist’s areas!
Pros: Comfort apt and close to the centre! Loved the view from the little balcony of the rooftops and old building.
Cons: Noisy at times but closing the balcony doors made a difference.

Lovely stay in Palermo, everything nearby the apartment
Pros: Great central location. We arrived late but Vincenzo sent very clear instructions how to access the property and sent lot of information about the apartment and Palermo
Cons: Third floor with lot of stairs

All in all, we were very pleased with our stay. The hosts were kind and attentive, and we’d definitely recommend it to t
Pros: We had a great stay at Appartamenti Maria Al Capo - near Capo Market — the location was absolutely excellent, walking distance to all major sights, with that authentic Palermo charm right outside the door (and the lovely balcony). The apartment was clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed, with thoughtful touches throughout (water left in fridge, coffee machine with capsules). Communication with the hosts was fast, clear, and very helpful.
Cons: A few things to keep in mind for future guests: \t•\tThe check-in process is quite thorough, requiring multiple ID verifications and even a video call. \t•\tThe neighborhood is lively and can get loud, so we wouldn’t recommend it for families or people looking for quiet vacation. But the hosts provided earplugs, which helped. \t•\tThere are steep stairs and no elevator, which could be a consideration for some. \t•\tLastly, the check-in instructions were very long and a little overwhelming — we’d recommend simplifying them a bit for a smoother arrival.
