Villa del Gattopardo

Pros: The villa is fantastic island of calmness in Palermo. As soon as you're outside the gates, the city is left behind with its noisy activities and problems. The villa has a beautiful garden, a very nice fountain show, and a lovely spa. Thank you for our vacation!

A lovely place to stay

Pros: A fantastic project steeped in history. Loved staying there but a little way out of Palermo.

Cons: Better transport links. Taxi into town is expensive.

Stunning unique historical villa - a little heaven just outside Palermo

Pros: Beautiful villa with also stunning garden in a very quiet area, just 15/20min from the centre of palermo. The rooms are amazingly epoque decorated, breakfast room is stunning; breakfast was delicious . The fontain display was unbelievable and made our stay very special. We all had a lovely time in the jacuzzi and enjoying the peaceful garden. A joy to come back to after a day in busy Palermo. Staff was very friendly and helpful ; they booked us a fantastic restaurant in Palermo for our daughter's birthday and showed us where to park for fee in the centre the next day.

Cons: the shower was leaking ; I mentioned it at the reception when we left so I am sure it is sorted now.

Pros: Beautiful villa. The staff is very helpful and nice. Breakfast is of high quality and the food at the restaurant is very delicious, congrats to the chef. The fountain show is a wonderful surprise.

Cons: The room has a bit of moisture smell

Cons: Staff attitude in several occasions especially during breakfast time Usually there is golf car for pick up guests but this time it did not work for us since OWNER decide to park his car infront door and pick up golf car could not pass Breakfast choice should be more various It was written to have free shuttle bus option to city centre but unfortunatelly not in our case Cleaning of shower in room should be better including shower gel replacement on time

Closest to royalty one can be

Pros: Villa del Gattopardo is a historical place where you can't feel like anything else but royalty. Rooms are at least double the size they usually are, with beautiful baroque details and furnishings. Each room has something unique (ours had an old chess set that was missing a couple of figurines, and that gave it even more charm), and each room has an amazing view (of the garden or the courtyard). Cons: Breakfast was okay, but it lacked some variety and quantity (we came in the middle of serving breakfast, and there were only a couple of buns left). They brought some extra for us but didn't replenish the bread/pastry on the buffet table.

Pros: Unique beautiful villa suit, good place to relax far from the busy center of Palermo. Luxury restaurant hall and vide range of breakfast meals. Beautiful garden with a large jacuzzi (unfortunately we didn't try it) for free.

Cons: The staff were official and cold. Spa is only for charge. During our stay there have been construction works right at the front of our window. General garden maintenance works were loud.

WOW!

Pros: Everything! So peacefful, luxurious and exceptional. The staff is great, hospitality excellent.

Good three days, however the location is not convenient for any type of driving or commuting.

Pros: The character of the property & grounds were exceptional.

Exceptionally decadent except for the parking

Pros: The property and room itself felt really decadent, as if I'm in another era. All the details, all the small touches made the experience even more sumptuous, like the robe, the ornate cups for coffee and tea, the little kits in the bathroom...The bed and the pillows were wonderfully comfortable and smelled divine. The breakfast served was succulent and tasty. All the staff were the personification of kindness and professionalism. The garden was well maintained and relaxing, the lemon trees full of fruit were wonderful to look at.

Cons: As a sharp contrast to everything else on the property, the parking was apocalyptic, full of really deep holes and difficult to navigate. It's such a pity since literally everything else is wonderful. This is a management problem and it is a shame that they let it get in that condition.
