Rocca Di Monreale

Super view and good access to Palermo

Pros: Super located with a splendid view on the entire Palermo. Spacious, clean rooms and overall: a good sleep at night with an open window (October). 20min waking or 2 min by car from Center of Monreale, where you need to visit the cathedral and go for a nice dinner. Large parking in the gardens of the B&B. The place is accessible via small curly roads, ca 200m from main road, the host will send you detailed information and also the B&B signs are indicating the direction once you exit the main road. Palermo reachable by car ca 15min (in normal traffic). The host will tell you where to park in Palermo so that your car is safe.

Amazing experience

Pros: The place is amazing. I wish I could’ve stayed longer than one night. The house, the apartment, the view over Palermo, the surrounding area, everything was just beautiful, it felt like a fairy tale. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away from the Sicilian craziness and just relax in the mountains.

Cons: There is nothing that I didn’t like.

It was a pleasure to stay at Rocca Di Monreale and feel so welcome.

Pros: The breakfast offered an exceptional array of home baked goods in addition to the traditional Italian breakfast. Having breakfast on the terrace with that view of Palermo was very memorable.

Cons: The B&B is a little hard to find. Other than that, it’s exceptional.

Very Special

Pros: It was a lovely combination of old and new school. Beautiful quiet setting, lots of trees. Beautiful terrace overlooking spectacular views. Even had a pony and turtles. We stayed in a spacious, comfortable and chic room with a balcony that overlooked Monreale and Palermo. It’s Run by a lovely family who made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was delicious with the majority of the produce all homemade. Looking forward to returning again. Highly recommend.

Pleasant physical surroundings and helpful and efficient staff,

Pros: Staff, very helpfuland efficient. Room. Pleasant and well equipped. Terrace was pleasnat and view was good.

Cons: No serious problems. The environment was not conducive to walking, and the road running past the quarter was a bit grim.

Lovely

Pros: Clean well appointed room. Host looked after us when we had a problem with late arrival. Good breakfast.

Cons: A little bit hard to find

Oasis in a busy city

Pros: It is our second time staying at this place and again we cannot fault it. Emanuela looks after us exceptionally and she serves us with a fantastic breakfast spread with a good selection of home baked cakes as well as hams and delis. The B & B and rooms are very clean and comfortable. Rocca Di Monreale is an oasis in the middle of Palermo, after a day out in the hustle and bustle of the city, it is the best place to relax and recharge in a quite place with magnificent views.

Cons: I cannot fault it.
