Appartamento Palazzo Pace al Cassaro

Perfect location to get the best out of a stay in Palermo, and ease of access to nearby areas (Monreale, Mondello, Cefal

Pros: The apartment is situated in the heart of old Palermo with walking access to historical sights, markets, piazzas and numerous fabulous eateries. The train station is approximately 15 minutes walk which we used for a day trip to Cefalu. Access to the apartment is by either stairs or a lift. Once inside it is large and very spacious. It was also very clean. There are two internal floors with one of the bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery and pans so self-catering is available. Up a further flight of stairs gives access to a roof terrace with views. We were greeted by the owner’s mother who was very warm and welcoming. She is adept at using a translate tool which made communication easy.

Cons: There was some building work taking place on the adjacent apartment terrace. We had one incident of early noise and mentioned this to the owner. She dealt with this swiftly and this was resolved the same day.

A good option to explore Palermo from within its historic centre

Pros: We were looking forward to be able to experience the gone-by era of the palazzos in the historic area of Palermo. To some extent this became true as the rather ample apartment is located in such an old building. The location could not be better as a starting point to explore Palermo, with ample choice of restaurants, bars, bakeries near by and the closeness to the Quatro Cantii. The outdoor area in the top terrace certainly was an added bonus for late sunny afternoon book reads. Overall the rooms were comfortable, as were the beds and available 3 bathrooms, albeit one being a bit quaint. The apartment was overall quiet once the night settled in but the air con in the bedrooms (only) - particularly those facing the main street - were strategic to beat the heat and warrant silence overnight.

Cons: Although furnished with old pieces which added to the overall feel, we were a bit disappointed with what could have interpreted as lack of attention or effort to enhance the guest experience - from the somewhat scanty seating arrangements and the wobbly dining table in the living room, to a most unsafe bed in one of the bedrooms. Although not necessarily a fault of the hosts, the elevator was not working or on-off on a number of days (critical considering the apartment is in the 3rd floor...) and there were some noise from the early morning emanating from the apartment next door currently undergoing refurbishment

Very handy comfortable apartment with lovely roof terrace and handy for transport and sights .

Pros: We were met by the host Flavia’s Mother a very friendly helpful lady who did not speak English but had a phone app that allowed us to ask questions on her phone that translated so everything very easy and straightforward.We had asked to drop our bags early and this was accommodated no problem,

Cons: No complaints about anything.

Beautiful accomondation

Pros: Accomondation was really beautiful with big rooms and lot of space for 6 people. Terrace on the top had beautiful view. Communication with owner was really good and fast.

Cons: Only negative thing was noise from street because accomondation is located on main street.

Pros: This apartment is outstanding! If you're looking for something in Sicilian style, you probably won't find anything better. Located on the oldest and longest Palermo street, full of pubs and restaurants. Close to everything, ca. 10 minutes to the train station. The apartment itself is very comfortable. It has three floors - on one floor there is a well-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms and a large lounge room, on the second - bedroom and bathroom next to it and on the third a spacious terrace with a beautiful view of Palermo. Highly recommended!

Pros: Sehr schöne großzügige Wohnung in zentraler Lage mit Dachterrasse. Wir haben den Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen. 5 Sterne!

Pros: Świetny apartament- lokalizacja, wielkość i klimat mieszkania, 3 łazienki, taras z super widokami, winda, która przydaje się po całym dniu zwiedzania :)

Cons: Jedynie łóżko na górze do poprawy- konstrukcja mało stabilna

Pros: Spacieux très bien situé propriétaire très gentil nous avons demandé pour pouvoir quitter l’appartement a 15 h au lieu de 11 h pour nous soulager avec les bagages
