Pros: - great central location close to the market and 15 min from the majority of main sites - well equipped and clean, everything works properly and is up to date - nice views - the host is amazing, extremely helpful and responsive
Cons: - the interior is a bit old-school, which gives it charm, but could maybe be a bit updated (but this is a personal preference)

Il Gabbiano al Capo is the perfect place to explore Palermo, a busy city with much interest
Pros: Davide was an excellent host, very friendly and he explained everything especially the parking which in a big city is always a problem. The parking are was a few minutes walk from the property and maximum EUR13 per day, it is safe and very convenient. The bathroom is very private and just a matter of two steps outside your room door, not a problem at all for us. It is your own bathroom, not shared! A spacious apartment with shared kitchen and living area, we did not even see the occupants of the other room during our stay.

Pros: We were very happy with the accommodation, Davide was the perfect host, so very helpful with information, particularly considering our phones were not working, but he was very quick to respond to our mesages.

Comfortable living in a good location
Pros: Very good location, close to the center, close to good dinning places, supermarket, street market. The room is big enough. The bathroom is next door, but it does not cause special inconvenience. Water and juices are waiting for you in the room fridge as a bonus. Coffee available in the kitchen. Nice view from kitchen window. There is a mosquito net in front of the window of the room, which keeps the mosquitoes out, but does not allow you to see the beautiful view.
Cons: A double room should have two chairs. It is also recommended to provide coffee capsules so that each person has at least one every day. But the main minus for us was that the room was not ready at the time of our arrival, even though we had informed about it even twice. Sorry Davide, but this has reduced the rating, which would otherwise be higher.

Pros: Everything was great. The accommodation is well located, easily accessible and everything you need can be found within walking distance. Well equipped and clean accommodation, Davide was a great host, communication was easy and he provided us with useful tips. Another couple stayed in the other room at the accommodation during part of our stay, but we didn't really meet, the bedroom and bathroom are completely private. Overall, I would gladly recommend the accommodation, I would gladly stay here again.

Central and homey stay, perfect location if you are bringing a car
Pros: Davide was an amazing host — very responsive, accommodating, and gave us helpful tips. Perfect location if you bring a car, as it is right outside ZTL, with many parking options around (street or indoor). All major areas, sites and markets are walking distance, too. Beautiful view from apartment kitchen and room. Apartment was well equipped and we especially appreciated the Dolce Gusto coffee and beach umbrella/ball/towels we got to use. Would definitely be back!

Pros: It is practically in the centre of Palermo, so everything is really close. Across the building is a cafe/bar/restaurant named FaVa with the best pastry I’ve ever tried - especially Pistachio Croissant. The host is amazing and really helpful and polite. He waited for us, although our flight was a little bit late and we had some issues with rent a car company. He sent us a list of recommendations - restaurants and tourist attractions. He would also answer really quickly wenn reached out.
Cons: Not enough soap/ shower gel. We always bring our own, but for people who don’t, there was not enough. But 50m from the apartment is a supermarket, so one can buy it there.
