Lovely introduction to a wonderful city!

Pros: Fabulous central location, beautifully decorated hotel with lots of special, unique touches throughout. The host is extremely knowledgeable and happy to help with everything. Fantastic local map provided complete with foodie suggestions, which are special to the area. Easy walking distance to points of interest around Palermo and 10 mins walking to airport bus stop. Great stay!

Pros: Very knowledgeable proprietor, central location, safe for single women travelling.

I had a great stay at Genio del Porto

Pros: The location is absolutely excellent: close to all the important places and very easy to find. The room was comfortable and the street noise was tolerable, which is not easy to find in Palermo. But the best thing about this place is its owner, Mauro. He is very friendly and helpful, speaks English very well and also has a great sense of humour. He provided me with all the information I needed to fully enjoy my stay in Palermo.

Pros: The hotel is in a very convenient location, close to the center. Mauro the host is very helpful, shows great knowledge, and knows the important places. The room is very beag and nice.

Cons: I have nothing to complain about.

Everything you need for a pleasant stay

Pros: Mauro is a wonderful host, very knowledgeable about Palermo and always happy to answer questions and share tips. The location is excellent: quiet yet central, and within a 10–20 minute walk you can reach the old port, the Capo Market, and many other sights. There are also bus stops just around the corner if you’d like to explore further. The room was clean and spacious, and the breakfast was good, and I even got a pistachio croissant to go!:)

Pros: An Unforgettable Stay in Palermo! Our recent stay at Il Genio del Porto was absolutely fantastic, largely thanks to our host, Mauro. From the moment we arrived, he was so helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to make our trip special. He took the time to personally help us plan our stay, offering invaluable insights and recommendations for exploring Palermo. We were impressed by his deep knowledge of the city's history, making our experience much richer. The room itself was excellent and made our stay incredibly comfortable. We genuinely couldn't have asked for more. We would be absolutely delighted to return to Palermo and stay here again. We wholeheartedly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a truly authentic and welcoming experience in Palermo!

Pros: The apartment is in a great location, and Mauro, the host, is very kind and helpful. The area feels safe and is nice to walk around. He shared lots of useful and interesting information about Palermo and the surroundings, which really helped me plan my trip and learn more about the city and Sicily 😊 If I come back to Palermo, I’ll definitely stay here again!

Excellent

Pros: B&B with a perfect location. Quiet pedestrian street, with all the facilities for food and transportation in the area. Daily cleaning and a great breakfast. The host , Mr. Mauro , is helpful and has great knowledge of the history and tourist attractions of Palermo and the region. He provides precise directions and is always available to help you. There were times when I had to leave before breakfast time and he kindly prepared something for me to take with me. I will definitely be back to the b&B on my next trip to Palermo.

Cons: Everything is perfect

Pros: Rooms were nice, only a bit dark. Your host is absolutely amazing, we felt very welcomed and he knows a huge amount of information about Palermo. We only had breakfast directly in the b&b once because we had to leave so early. As an alternative, we could use the café next door which was also amazing.

Cons: We had three rooms, one of the room's bathrooms was not entirely clean with left-over towels. Towel replacement was not as expected, but possible at request.
