B&B Orchidea

Pros: Exceptional location: close to Via della Libertà and Teatro Politeama!

A pleasant stay in B&B Orchidea in a good location.

Pros: Fabrizio, the B&B owner, was very kind and helpful and we were provided with a most adequate breakfast. Th B&B was very well located giving access to Teatro Massimo and the vibrant Via Maqueda. It was also close to the beautiful English Garden where the trees are magnificent. The bus service to and from the train station was easy. Our room was very adequate as was the bathroom. Our day trip to Cefalu and back was very easy and pleasant and the Duomo magnificent outside and in. We found some good restaurants nearby.

Cons: The fixtures in the bathroom are rather loose. The requirement to carry heavy cases up and down one and a half floors was somewhat unwelcome. We had no access to the lift.

Pros: The room was ok. The location was good if you don’t mind walking a bit, it was 15 min walking from the city center. But there were a lot of restaurants near. The owners were very sweet, they really wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast is simple but they ask us every evening what we would like to eat the next day, which is nice. They were also a little flexible with the breakfast times (they came earlier one day when we had a train). They also had a laundry service, that was useful.

Cons: The water pressure from the shower was bad, but they fixed it a bit once we told them about it. The single beds and pillows could be more comfortable.

Pros: Quiet and peaceful. Very family atmosphere. All interesting places are close to this.

Cons: not applicable

Family feel to a lovely

Pros: Friendly host made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived and personal goodbye as we left. A real family feel to the stay. Comfy bed in a large room and lovely breakfast. Thank you

Cons: To be a tiny bit picky shower cubicle could be a bit more sturdy but was perfectly fine for our needs

Nice place, well connected, lovely personnel.

Pros: The room had its private bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioner worked well and it was possible to close completely the blinders. The personnel was very kind and Lori would ask what delicacy to buy for the next morning breakfast.

Cons: It’s a bit old especially the bathroom. It could be a noisy because there are pubs in the neighborhood.

Pros: The owner was so lovely and helpful. We landed very late and he waited for us to arrive to let us in. He was so kind. I would recommend accepting the offer of hotel transport for 45 euro as it’s cheaper then a taxi and taxis are hard to get in Palermo. Perfect accom if you are just in between places in Sicily. We landed late, slept and got the train the next morning and it was perfect for this. Wifi isn’t great but that didn’t bother us too much but that might be tricky for some people.

Cons: Wifi wasn’t great in our room

Fabrizio was very welcoming and accommodating. Enabled me to check in early which was most appreciated as was 47’C the d

Pros: Very comfortable, clean and secure. Easy walking distance to sights and restaurants.

Cons: Nothing to report
