Pros: The staff was nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and nice. The breakfast was excellent.

Cons: The mattresses were softer than I'm used to, but otherwise it was fine. I would have liked some classic glass water glasses in the room.

Excellent value for your money

Pros: Not much more needs to be said about the many positive features of the hotel, as these are sufficiently described in the other comments here. I will therefore limit myself to the things that we found particularly pleasant: The location is such that both the city centre and the wide beaches in the opposite direction can be reached on foot in a reasonable amount of time. However, rooms facing the road have to put up with some traffic noise. The roof terrace offers a wonderful view of the gulf. Another highlight is definitely the whirlpool in the garden, which invites you to relax with a drink from the room fridge. We would also like to emphasise the staff, who were always friendly, courteous and helpful at all levels of service. All in all, we found the price-performance ratio to be excellent.

Great stay would stay again if we visit. People particularly friendly and welcoming.

Pros: Great location near old town. Good facilities and private parking was available. All the staff at Sol y Mar were friendly efficient and welcoming.

Cons: Building is on a busy corner but the fantastic windows kept all the noise out so no issue.
