Solemar Sicilia - Galleria Maqueda

Pros: Excellent location next to the main shopping street, but still on a quiet street. Two bathrooms made it extra convenient for our family of 5. The apartment was clean and well equipped, plus points for washing machine in the flat! The host was very friendly and responsive.

Great good size unit with modern facilities. Location was superb with multiple restaurants and bars just downstairs and

Pros: Location and size of the unit was more than adequate for 4 people. Having two bathrooms and a lift was awesome.

Cons: The floor needs fixing (floor boards are swollen and raised from water damage which did pose a trip hazard). Also the shower head didn’t work properly but the owner was very responsive and came and fixed the shower the same day. Beds were very hard and springs were quite uncomfortable.

Pros: The location is just ideal....in the middle of Via Maqueda, a thriving, busy street with plenty of bars and restaurants. Great for walking to nearby museums.

Cons: Shower was leaking and there was an unpleasant smell whenever you entered the apartment.

Pros: The location is amazing! The host was incredibly helpful and responsive, thanks to him, we found free parking close to the apartment. He also shared great tips on what to see and try in Palermo. The apartment itself is super modern, and I loved the natural light streaming in from the ceiling!

Cons: nothing, eveything was great.

Great place to stay

Pros: Great location, super clean and easy communication with the host.

Pros: Nice location in the old town and lots of space. The host has been very nice and helped us whenever we had questions.

Cons: A bit hard to find upon arrival, also a bit noisy as there is a restaurant in the court yard.

Absolutely perfect.

Pros: Everything…….. Perfect location, excellent facilities , spotlessly clean.

Cons: Nothing to dislike.

Airy large apartment in great part of city - central for activities, food and to get around.

Pros: Location was very central, showers good & water hot (took a little time to come through so be patient), large open apartment with air conditioning (much needed with hot weather). 2 bathrooms extremely useful.

Cons: Difficult to follow recycling as lack of bins and short notice on how to separate waste (email the night before arriving). Better (thicker) blinds/curtains would have helped reduce light and noise of busy main pedestrian road outside. Suggest taking eye mask and earplugs if light sleeper but didn’t spoil enjoyment of stay.

Excellent value for money on a great location - would recommend!

Pros: Really large, modern, well decorated, very clean and the location was amazing. We had everything we needed for our stay and I think the price is excellent value for money.

Cons: There was a slightly strange smell which was quite strong, might have been a one-off issue. We also needed better curtains in the bedrooms as the light was bright throughout the night.

Pros: Fabulous position, close to everything. Large airy apartment, though need to keep windows closed at night, if very busy in the restaurants downstairs. Good communication with Ruslan.

Cons: Be aware, public parking nearby extremely difficult. Private parking uner the building excellent but expensive. €20 per day, but only if you have a very small car. We had to pay €40 per day.
