Le Zagare

Family run, welcoming escape away from busy Cefalu

Pros: Away from busy Cefalù, this is a great oasis if you have a car. Enza was very welcoming, her English good and she was always helpful. Grateful we were permitted to use pool after checkout as we had an evening flight. The view towards mountains over mandarin/lime groves was beautiful. Pool lovely and scooped of debris every morning. Bed was very comfortable and kitchen had most utensils you could wish for. Washing machine and mocha pot a bonus but you need to supply your own coffee and detergent which are easily obtained at the supermarkets that are 2 mins drive away. Rooftop terrace awesome to watch sunset and the stars or have your morning coffee on.

Cons: Aircon in upper apartment pretty useless - we had to ask to borrow a fan in bedroom as it really didn’t cool the apartment much unless you could have it on all day which you can’t as all turns off when you remove key to save energy. Shower small and not very powerful but perfectly fine for us. Pool lovely but could really do with a scrub to remove green algae from around top edge which is slippery and unpleasant. The roads either side and train are quite loud, especially at night so we chose to keep doors/windows/shutters shut which also helped keep the apartment cooler. Due to the property being just off the main road it is essential that you have a car as it would be quite dangerous to walk to supermarket or to beach.

amazing for small family

Pros: we didi a few different location in Sicily and by far the best place me and my family were. The reception lady was just amazing , rooms were clean and the location is just perfect. Recommend extremly. Plus everyone was so nice with my son!

Cons: what I didnt like is that I was not longer at the location

Fabulous stay, recommmend

Pros: Check in and communication prior and during our stay was exceptional

Cons: The weather could of been warmer hahahaha!

Pros: The accommodation was perfect. The cot was with sheets. Very pleasant staff. Spacious and clean garden with swimming pool.

Peaceful and clean, Recommended!

Pros: Great hospitality, family round the business, they are very kind and helpful. Everything you need is inside the apartment. Very beautiful view, comfortable and nice outside area. 15 min drive to Cefalu.

Overall great stay

Pros: Location was great!, very close to Cefalu and big supermarkets. The apartment we had was on the ground floor and just beside the pool. It had two rooms and two bathrooms which was very convenient. The apartment was beside the pool. The pool area is very nicely decorated and looks like the images!

Cons: The only thing which can be improved is the bathroom on the upper floor. It could use a renovation.

Pros: Very clean and comfortable place, good deal with free parking at the beach and special price if you rent umbrellas / deck chairs. A special thanks to Enza for the tips on where to go for lunch/dinner and local places to visit and to the owner for looking after us!

3 days was not enough

Pros: Beautiful and peaceful. Lovely surroundings and pool area. The hosting family were very kind and shared vegetables from their garden. Lot of space for everyone. We have already talked about returning.

Cons: Not a dislike but you need a car to get the best out of the area, although there is a nearby train station.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay. Pool and garden are fantastic. Paulo was a magnificent host. Surprised us whith treats and home made lemonceilo. And directed us to 2 amazing beaches a few minutes drive. Location was great for us. Just a 10 - 15 min drive from cefalu car park.

Cons: Only thing is the AC was located in the living room (were our kids slept. And it took some time for it to cool the bed room. Paulo kindly helped us with a fan but we still had to leave the bed room door open at night for the AC to get in.

Very nice and willing to help staff. Relaxing and enjoying stay.

Pros: Very nicely decorated and clean pool area. Le Zagare is located in the nature, surrounded with fiels of olive and lemon trees. The staff tries to help you with all your needs.
