Lovely spot in Castellammare del Golfo

Pros: The location is amazing. The house is also lovely in Sicilian style. Loved the view on both sides of the property. Easy check in. Fast response of owner/ person looking after. Cute little piazza in front. Easy Parking in front of door. Loved the tight streets to get there 😀. The photo’s don’t do it justice. In real life is more beautiful.

Cons: For a family of 4 that wants to cook it has only limited utensils like cuttings boards etc. Making it a bit hard. When there is a party nearby you will hear the bass through the house. So if you are a light sleeper you might have some nights that can be challenging if you are an early sleeper and early riser. The garbage and recycling could be explained. If you are not from Sicily it is a bit confusing what garbage goes where.

Pros: The location and the view is excellent! We couldn't have chosen a better place for our stay in Casetellamare del Golfo.

Cons: The place is perfect by all means.

Stunning location, beautiful view and comfy beds.

Pros: Everything about this property from the location to the lovely owners was spot on. The view is breathtaking and being so close to the harbour, beach and restaurants was brilliant. Parking was easy too.

Fantastic sea view in historic location

Pros: Fantastic location, three terraces, very friendly neighbours, good design, very responsive host, and excellent restaurants in walking distance (e.g. La Tonnara).

Cons: The kitchen could benefit from a kettle, tea pot, toaster and sharp knives, and the bedrooms from waste baskets.

Wundervolle Abende am meer

Pros: Erste Lage am meer, wunderschöne Sicht und Dachterrasse (überdacht). Die Kommunikation war schnell und hilfreich, mitten in der Stadt, viele Restaurants und Cafés in Laufreichweite

Belle decouverte

Pros: Emplacement ideal. Nous avons profité de l'arrière saison pour découvrir cette belle région. Informations des propriétaires très précises et sympathiques.

Cons: Rien

Struttura fantastica. Siamo stati molto bene. Spiaggia di Cala Petrolo comoda ma sporca. Torneremo.

Pros: La colazione non è contemplata ma il gestore Ignazio si è reso disponibile a creare un accordo con un bar poco distante. La casa ha una vista fantastica ed è in una posizione particolare che ha PRO e CONTRO in quanto è in piena zona ZTL del centro storico quindi l'accesso con un'auto è veramente molto limitato e questo per chi viaggia con figli piccoli e relativi bagagli è un problema in quanto i parcheggi (a pagamento) sono distanti. Un plauso al gestore che fin da subito si è rivelato sempre molto attento e disponibile alle nostre (poche) richieste.

Cons: Anche se il gestore effettua la segnalazione della targa dell'auto alla Polizia Municipale, dalle 20,00 alle 6,00 è assolutamente vietato circolare con l'auto, quindi volendo andare a cena in qualche posto lungo la costa, anche uscendo prima delle 20,00 esiste un disagio nel ritorno e nel trovare il parcheggio anche lontano. La vicina spiaggia di Cala Petrolo è comoda ma a parte l'area (sabbiosa) ben gestita da uno stabilimento la restante spiaggia (sabbia e ciotoli) è molto sporca e priva di manutenzione. L'acqua è molto molto limpida ma anche qui a volte sono presenti bicchieri di plastica o bottiglie lasciate. Noi abbiamo ovviato noleggiando una imbarcazione per recarci nelle splendide cale vicine. PS: I CESTINI PER GETTARE I RIFIUTI SIA NELLE SPIAGGE CHE NELLA CITTADINA, SONO PRATICAMENTE INESISTENTI.

Pros: Location, upgraded amenities, balcony, and parking spot.

Cons: 3rd floor isn't really usable. Difficult in heat to run 3 ac units without circuit breaker issues.

Charming and cozy seaside apartment

Pros: Castellammare del Golfo is heavenly and this apartment is situated to make the most of its many charms. The sea is literally at your feet and two of best restaurants we encountered on our six-week trip lay along the harbor just a few minutes away. The apartment itself is small but it appears that great care was taken in the layout. The decor is just charming, with nods to Sicilian culture throughout. The two outdoor spaces are great. The small balcony off the kitchen offered the perfect sea view for our morning coffee. The third floor covered balcony has a stunning view (this is also the location of the third bedroom), string lights and a small table for lunch or dinner. Parking is free right in front of the unit. The location is a cul-de-sac behind the fortress so you have to cross a small stone bridge. We didn't think our little SUV could get through, but no problem.

Cons: The kitchen is very basic. There is no oven or dishwasher (hey, we managed!) Seniors may have some trouble with the stairs since all the bedrooms are on the second and third floors. There is only a half bath on the second floor. Bathrooms with showers are on the main and third floors.

Traumhaftes Häuschen am Meer, gut für Vier.

Pros: Traumhafte Lage. Gute Aufteilung, zwei Paare können dieses Haus gut teilen, da es zwei getrennte Badezimmer hat. Nur wenige Meter bis zum Hafen, wo der frische Fisch angelandet wird. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, Alt und Neu wirken zusammen. Auf jeder Etage hat man den Blick aufs Meer und trotzdem ist man in wenigen Schritten auch in der Stadt. Wir würden es jederzeit wieder nehmen.

Cons: Im Winter ist die Heizung etwas schwach. Die Einrichtung ist etwas minimalistisch, man könnte noch den ein oder anderen Einrichtungsgegenstand gebrauchen, besonders wenn man sich selbst verpflegt. Im Sommer muss es traumhaft sein, da die obere Terrasse überdacht ist. Jetzt im Januar hätte man dort gern in den ersten Sonnenstrahlen gelegen, aber die fixe Überdachung macht das unmöglich. Außerdem gibt es sowieso wie fast überall in den Appartments keine Sonnenliegen.
